Badal says 'pardon me' for 2015 Punjab sacrilege cases

MONTHS ahead of the Lok Sabha elections and following defeats in two consecutive assembly polls, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal today apologized to the Sikh community for the 2015 sacrilege cases during their party's government. The Badal government was in alliance with the BJP.
The SAD also appealed to the dissident Akali leaders to come under one umbrella. Badal tendered an apology for not being able to catch culprits involved in the sacrilege incidents.
The SAD chief was addressing a gathering at gurdwara Shaheed Baba Gurbaksh Singh at Akal Takht in Amritsar.
