ROBERT Lewandowski hit a hat-trick as Barcelona came from behind to beat Celta Vigo 4-2 on Sunday, cutting Real Madrid's La Liga lead to three points.

The veteran Polish striker, who has had a stop-start season due to injury, scored three times to help Hansi Flick’s side capitalise after Los Blancos were held 0-0 by Rayo Vallecano earlier on the day. Teenage star Lamine Yamal also scored, with Marcus Rashford providing three assists.

“After the injury I can see a different Lewandowski, he’s positive, he came back very early,’ Flick said, after the match. “For him, for his confidence, it's great to score three goals (Sunday).”

Lewandowski called the match “one of the craziest” of the season but was pleased with the result.
