Challenging the false refugee narrative

AS a proud African South African who has built businesses, uplifted communities, and contributed to the democratic transformation of this country, I am compelled to speak out against the gross mischaracterisation of white South Africans, particularly Afrikaners, as 'refugees' in need of international asylum.

Let me be clear: there is no racial persecution of Afrikaners in South Africa.

What we are witnessing is not a humanitarian crisis but a distortion of justice, privilege, and history.

The United States' recent decision to grant refugee status to 49 white South Africans is an insult to the very real struggles of millions of Africans on this continent and beyond, who are fleeing war, famine, displacement, and systemic oppression.
