Anklets are back: How to rock this summer's must-have
The Mercury
|October 13, 2025
REMEMBER the late 90s and early 2000s when body jewellery was everywhere? Toe rings, belly rings, beaded bracelets and of course anklets.
They were playful, personal and a little statement piece that could lift any summer outfit.
Now in 2025 anklets are making a comeback. Market research shows that foot jewellery is now one of the fastest-growing subcategory in the online jewellery market.
So why the sudden resurgence? Part of it is nostalgia. Fashion loves to recycle, and the 90s and early-2000s trends are hotter than ever.
Social media is also pushing the trend, with influencers and celebrities layering delicate chains, beaded anklets, and statement pieces in their posts, making it impossible not to notice.
So, how do you rock anklets this summer? Layering is key. Mix delicate gold or silver chains with beaded or charm anklets for a playful, personal-ised vibe.
