Wissa: Relationship with the Bees was always respectful

YOANE Wissa has slammed talk that he “did an Isak” to win his move to Newcastle United - insisting his relationship with Brentford did not break down.
The 28-year-old’s move to St James’ Park has been compared with Alexander Isak’s record-breaking £130m move to Liverpool after the Sweden star downed tools to sign for the Reds.
But Wissa insists he trained well with the Bees and maintaining friendships after Brentford’s roller-coaster ride from the Championship to the Premier League under departed boss Thomas Frank.
Wissa, who has been unveiled as Newcastle's new no.9 and follows in the footsteps of Alan Shearer, Andy Cole, Les Ferdinand, Supermac and Micky Quinn, said to NUFC TV: “There was a lot of respectful communication, always respectful communication.
“Open talks back and forth, of course, but always respectful.
“So they had their argument and I had mine, but the most important thing was it was always respectful with all of them.
