AN AWARD-winning family-run dessert business which has been keeping sweet-tooth customers happy for the past 12 years is all set to open a shop to cater for walk-ins.

- BARBARA HODGSON

The Pudding Parlour, which is owned by sister and brother Kristy Giblin and Greg Small, is adding a shop to its bakery site in Prudhoe where it is set to serve up American-inspired desserts, cakes and sweet bakes right next to where they are made.

The pair initially launched their Northumberland business in 2013 at Haugh Lane Industrial Estate premises in Hexham before moving to their current unit in Earl’s Court.

They also had a stall in Newcastle’s Grainger Market for a time with demand continuing to grow for the likes of their personal take on US desserts such as Key Lime Pie, Mississippi Mud Pie and Reese's Peanut Butter Slab.
