Viveash in charge as Edwards joins Wolves

COACH TAKES REINS FOR INTERIM SPELL

MIDDLESBROUGH yesterday confirmed the resignation of head coach Rob Edwards after agreeing compensation with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The club also announced that Adi Viveash will continue to take charge of team affairs in the interim period.

Middlesbrough first-team coach Harry Watling has also agreed a contract with Wolves, alongside Edwards.

A statement from the club read: “Middlesbrough FC can confirm that Rob Edwards has now officially resigned his post as head coach after agreeing a contract with Wolves.

“Rob had signed a three-year contract with ourselves during the summer, but after he made it clear he was keen to join Wolves, we reluctantly agreed a figure of compensation for both himself and one of his first-team coaches, Harry Watling.
