Trust celebrates increase in visiting bird species

WHILST the cold winter time is not known for many nature sightings, Northumberland Wildlife Trust staff at Hauxley nature reserve have been celebrating the wonderful number of birds that have visited the Druridge Bay site in 2025.

157 different species have visited the nature reserve
Volunteers have been recording the number of visiting birds every day since the 1980s and now have a very comprehensive list.
