DOUBLE TROUBLE FOR A FIRST TIME DAD OF TWINS

“You owe me £115 for the twins’ presents,” said Victoria as I stepped through the door.

“They haven't even had their birthday yet,” I pointed out in my defence against her financial demands.

There were further questions to be asked because the vehemence with which it was requested implied a debt which had got to a stage where personal possessions might be recovered and sold.

After pointing out this was the first I'd heard of it, I queried the total funds requested.

Say we're dividing the sum spent on the gifts by two, this implied we'd blown £230 on presents for the children without my knowledge.

I'd already spent the extravagant amount of £70 on a radio control car for Emma.
