GOLF Tom McKibbin has claimed he has never seen anything like the reception that was handed out to Rory Mcliroy at The 153rd Open Championship.

Mcliroy couldn't secure his sixth major at Royal Portrush, as he and the field could only watch on in envy as Scottie Scheffler waltzed his way to the Claret Jug.
However, the 36-year-old was welcomed as a hero upon gracing the course, with many locals eager to catch a glimpse of the Masters winning superstar.
