Restaurant and nearby cocktail bar up for sale
The Journal
|May 19, 2025
A NEWCASTLE city centre restaurant and cocktail bar are up for sale weeks after calling time amid a catalogue of challenges.
The owner of Horticulture on Pilgrim Street, its adjoining cocktail bar El Guapo and sister site at Whitley Bay Horticulture Coastal took to social media ealier this month to announce “with deep regret and teary eyes” the permanent closure of all three sites.
The three venues have been closed for more than a month but property specialist Christie & Co is hopeful that at least one of the sites won't be empty for long, having already been contacted by interested operators.
