Plans for industrial and storage unit approved

COUNCILLORS have approved the construction of a new industrial and storage unit on vacant land adjacent to Gosforth Park Business Park.

North Tyneside Council's planning and development committee approved an application for the construction of 37 storage and distribution blocks on empty land on Salters Lane. The 0.6-hectare site is anticipated to generate between 100 to 140 jobs, according to council officers.
