FIRST images of Newcastle's newest restaurant Tantara reveal how the Bengal-style bistro’s stylish interior will look when it opens its doors.

As previously reported, work has been under way in transforming what used to be the 3 Elephants restaurant in Jesmond.And the result, as CGI images show, is set to impress when the new Tantara opens its doors in Osborne Road. Co-founder Shah Lalon Amin, group director of the award-winning Delhi 6 street food group, is behind the new city arrival, and the restaurant, a very personal one for him, is a tribute to his late father, who arrived in the area from India in 1963 and started the family’s first restaurant.
