United's big summer investment in two strikers has not paid off as Eddie Howe would have liked, at least in terms of goals.The Magpies spent big on Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa after being backed into a corner by Alexander Isak’s insistence on a move to Liverpool, with £124m invested in the pair.

While both have had their moments, notably Woltemade's first few months on Tyneside caught the eye, they have struggled in the second half of the campaign, with Wissa spending four months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
