RSA in Doxford Park, Sunderland

RSA Insurance, based at Doxford Business Park in the city, has announced the closure of its office, leaving a total of 112 workers out of a job by the end of the year.

RSA Insurance, which yesterday rebranded as Intact Insurance, currently employs 169 people in Sunderland, with 112 leaving the business. The firm says it is discussing alternative arrangements for the remaining 57 workers.

It is understood that commercial lines staff may be required to commute to the nearest offices in Leeds or Halifax.
