A SOCIAL media company has secured a six-figure investment from a fund designed to boost employment in County Durham.

The Finance Durham Fund, administered by Maven Capital Partners, has invested in The Social Co (SOCO), an award-winning team of social media experts and creatives that aims to expand its team and accelerate its expansion strategy.

The Durham company delivers social media marketing campaigns to brands operating in the UK with an international footprint, providing all services in-house through an integrated setup.

SOCO, which is run by Kane Haig and James Ogilvie, has grown to a team of 40 staff, working across a range of sectors that include fashion, sports and financial services. The company works with well-known brands including Newcastle United Football Club, Hays Travel and Monument bank to deliver content on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and X.
