FOR those of us in the North East who have seen Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later in the first week of its release, many of the scenes will have felt close to home.

- DANIEL HALL Reporter

Film was a home movie for sisters

The Angel of the North, Sycamore Gap, and a host of Northumberland locations take our region onto the big screen.

But it could hardly get any closer for sisters Jenny Fairbairn-Pain and Rachel Pain, whose holiday home on Holy Island doubled up as a green room for the actors and the crew.

Links View is next door to the cottage and set for the home of Spike (Alfie Williams) and his mum and dad (Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jodie Comer).

Rachel, 56, told The Journal: "Because both houses are tucked away and they've got a private yard, it gave a bit of privacy from prying eyes. They split the house into two parts.
