HISTORY was made at Newcastle Racecourse on Saturday as Bruce Dickens, 77, became the first ever male winner of the Ladies Day Style Awards - turning heads and taking home the coveted top prize with his dapper outfit.

Dapper Bruce, 77, made history winning the best dressed.... at Ladies Day

Wearing a custom forest green Moss Bros jacket, with ‘designed by Bruce Dickens’ embroidered to the silk inside, he paired it with deep maroon and brown accessories, Bruce was every inch the racing gent and charmed both judges and racegoers alike with his style and flair.

The stylish standout beat hundreds of fashionable hopefuls to claim the title on Saturday, July 26, during the biggest Ladies Day since before the pandemic, which saw over 17,000 racegoers descend on Gosforth Park for an unforgettable day of racing, fashion and entertainment.
