Coxswain Enzo rises to his new challenge

JUST four days into his role at Tynemouth RNLI, the charity's newest coxswain leapt into action to rescue two people 16 miles off the North East coast.

Vincenzo Stifanelli, known as Enzo, started the full-time position on New Year's Day, having volunteered for the charity for over 10 years.

And on January 4 he was tasked with a challenging first callout, to two people overboard from a fishing vessel.
