Commercial site plans submitted for approval

PLANS have been submitted for a scheme that could help create 2,000 new jobs in the North East.

Arlington Real Estate and Homes England have submitted an outline planning application for West Hartford Park, a development on the edge of Cramlington, Northumberland that aims to deliver more than a million square feet of industrial, manufacturing and logistics space.

The 126-acre scheme hopes to capitalise on the growth of green energy jobs linked to the nearby Port of Blyth and the creation of the Energy Central Partnership.

The area has emerged in recent years as a leading national hub for offshore and renewable energy, which in turn has helped attract major AI and data projects to the region.
