Burglar and his girlfriend ransacked high school

A BURGLAR targeted a school where he had been working while his partner pretended to do cleaning as she helped him ransack it.

Joseph McDonough and his crack addict girlfriend Danielle Donald broke into the high school in Gateshead last summer, stealing items worth more than £18,000.

Newcastle Crown Court heard McDonough had been employed on a casual basis by a cleaning company. And CCTV showed Donald pretending to clean a cupboard during the raid.
