Browne is now showing his value at Boro

ROB Edwards says Alan Browne is showing exactly why Middlesbrough brought him to the club this summer, with the Sunderland loanee in excellent form of late.

Browne started both wins over the last ten days against Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday.

Though he dropped back to the bench in what Boro boss Edwards described as the hardest decision he's ever had to make for the home game with Wrexham at the weekend, Browne came on at halftime to help Boro dramatically improve to earn a draw.

Browne's chance in the team comes after he was forced to settle for a backup brief in the early weeks due to the impressive form of Hayden Hackney and Aidan Morris. But for Edwards, his form of late shows exactly why Boro pursued the loan deal late in the window - as he revealed one of the key motivating factors behind it.
