STRIKER Marc Guiu’s reported loan move from Chelsea to Sunderland has stalled.

The 19-year-old was set to join Sunderland after the Black Cats agreed a loan deal with Chelsea and was due to fly to the North East on Sunday ahead of his medical, but the flight was said to be “postponed”.

However, it is believed the deal will still go through this week.

Guiu is not the only Chelsea player who has caught Sunderland’s attention during this transfer window. It is being reported that Sunderland have also shown interest in Deivid Washington, who is one of many forgotten men at Stamford Bridge.

He has made just three senior appearances for Chelsea since signing for the club from Santos in 2023.
