Ban for driver who led cops on 80mph chase

A DANGEROUS driver led police on a high-speed chase before crashing into a set of traffic lights.

Cale Mort took off from police when they tried to pull him over in South Tyneside.

The 23-year-old hit speeds of up to 80mph as he dangerously overtook other motorists and drove erratically on the wrong side of the road. Due to the way Mort was driving, police abandoned the chase, before they eventually caught up with him after he crashed near to the STACK in Seaburn.
