Award would be icing on the cake for bakery

IT'S already got a national accolade to its name and now a bakery in Northumberland is in with another shot at victory.

And that’s because it’s on the shortlist for a top honour at the Baking Industry Awards.

Recognised as one of the most prestigious events in the sector, the awards - back for a 38th year in 2025 - celebrate excellence, innovation and dedication across the industry.

Organisers declare that the awards are “not just about competition”, they are “a fantastic celebration of the passion, innovation and dedication that drives our industry forward”.

And one business that is in line to take home some silverware at this year’s event is Corbridge-based bakery Grant's, which was a winner at the awards in 2020.
