GATESHEAD manager Alun Armstrong admits his side’s inability to piece together a consistent run of form has left him frustrated.

A Savage test in store for Armstrong's Heed

Gateshead are up against Robbie Savage's Forest Green Rovers

Just two weeks have passed since the Heed upset the odds by securing a shock win in an FA Cup first round tie against League One club AFC Wimbledon that set up a televised home game with Walsall early next month.

The victory at the Cherry Red Records Stadium raised hopes Armstrong’s men could kickstart their National League campaign - but a loss at York City and last weekend's home defeat against Solihull Moors appears to have eroded any momentum.
