Royal book final date with Seba
The Island
|September 04, 2025
A laboured knock of 95 runs by Malika Vithanage was in vain for Trinity as Ranuka Malaviarachchi completed a five wicket haul to give Royal first innings points and a place in the Under 19 Division I Cricket tournament final at Ambepussa on Wednesday.
In reply to Royal's 331 runs, Trinity were dismissed for 212 as Malaviarachchi took two more wickets in the morning to mop up the tail. Trinity had hopes untill Vithanage was holding fort but Malaviarachchi took two wickets including that of the danger man.
Vithanage had faced 203 balls by the time he was dismissed for 95. His knock included just 12 boundaries.
