I believe that others will join me to congratulate Hemal Perera on the above captioned letter (The Island) where he condemns former Speaker and Minister Karu Jayasuriya’s request to the government to reconsider its decision to abolish MPs pension and recommends a payment to those who have no income an allowance from the President’s Fund.

It is no secret that almost all MPs have while in power amassed wealth by bribery to live in clover after being defeated and making this country poor for the masses to suffer with high cost of living.
