SCHOOL'S 18-MONTH HOMEWORK TO RAISE ATTAINMENT SCORE
Inspectors have called for "additional support" to help a school raise attainment levels amongst its pupils.
A report on Irvine Royal Academy has uncovered concerns around classroom achievement.
The team from HM Inspectors of Education, who visited the school in December, have now called for improvements following their findings.
They did, however, praise the school for its support and nurturing of pupils, with the headteacher hailed for her “strong leadership.”
Inspectors said she, along with the support of staff, had “developed a sense of pride, belonging and family across the school community,” with young people benefiting from “an environment that is safe, nurturing and caring.”
