Predator arrested hours after attack

POLICE arrested a Kirklees predator just hours after he committed sexual offences against a vulnerable teenager with “little option but to plead guilty”.

Stuart Murgatroyd, 31, was sentenced to four years in prison after admitting three offences of sexual activity with a child after meeting with a teenage girl at an address in the Kirklees area on May 11, 2025.

The “courageous” victim and her family were able to contact West Yorkshire Police on the same day, leading to Murgatroyd’s swift arrest - just hours after the assault took place.
