OCTAGON ripped through Fawn A 10-1 in the Plymouth City Super League Division A as Neil White (26.97) put on the best individual performance of the week and the match-up.

- By JAMES COOK

White's best legs came in 18 and 15 darts, which helped him to a 3-1 singles success, and he ended his night on ten tons overall.

The win owed much thanks to the mammoth scoring of Lee Hellings, who nailed 15 tons in the affair, and Hellings was supported well by Mark Williams and Sean Taylor, who both reached 11 tons.

Hellings, White, and Williams (34.52) teamed to put away 1001 points in just 29 darts before Andy Bates bagged himself a 118 kill in a 2-0 doubles win when paired with Taylor. Hellings and Alfie Ford (32.49) added legs in 16 and 21 darts over the 601 distance during another 2-0 win before the singles phase was lit up by a smattering of excellence.

Hellings was defeated 3-1 by the away side's ten-ton man, Reg Matthews, despite an 18-darter from the defeated party.

Matthews added a 120 three-dart combination outshot to his individual ton total and checked another leg in just 15 darts.

Matthews' teammate, Dave Roberts, can also count himself unfortunate to end on the wrong side of a 3-1 loss after his 18-darter that came against White.

Kev Seal (25.47) put up a solid 3-0 win that contained legs in 17 and 18 darts to help Tradesmans to a 7-4 win over Bluebird A.

Before the individual phase, Seal added a 100 checkout in the trebles and then teamed with Simon Washington (30.05) to claim a 2-0 doubles win with legs in 19 and 21 darts

Washington added two maxis in that win and added a third 180 in his 3-0 win to make it a hat-trick across the whole contest.

Glenn Austin checked a leg in 14 darts during his 3-1 win that saw him walk away from the oche with 13 tons to his name.

Jodie Hawton's 3-1 win over Lee Roberts came with the help of a 101 checkout, whilst Roberts added an 88 kill to his 180 in that tie.

Lewis Byrne's 180 came in a 3-1 success, whilst Seal's emphatic success saw both Seal and opponent James Stoodley bag maximums.
