Waterfront offers perfect spot for St Valentine's Day
The Herald
|February 14, 2026
PLYMOUTH'S historic waterfront destination, Royal William Yard, is setting the stage for romance this Valentine's Day with an array of experiences that span traditional dining, thoughtful gifting and unique adventures.
Make a date... with the Royal William Yard
From conventional wining and dining over cheese fondue, and losing yourself in Cathy and Heathcliff’s epic romance on the big screen, to shunning tradition altogether by enjoying the rugby together, or sinking into ice baths side-by-side. Whatever the dream date might be, this destination offers the perfect backdrop for love stories.
The Yard's diverse dining scene promises memorable Valentine’s celebrations. Bistrot Pierre presents a special Valentine’s menu on 14th February, featuring three indulgent courses for £40.95 with brand new specials including Swiss cheese fondue. Diners can enjoy a special offer of £7 off Veuve Devienne - just £25 instead of £32 - when dining from this menu, with stunning views across the lawn to the sea.
Wildwood invites couples to celebrate with an Italian feast made for sharing. Available exclusively on 14th and 15th February, the special three-course Valentine’s menu brings indulgent starters, heart-shaped ravioli and pizza, decadent desserts and a limited-edition ‘kiss me Martini’ - designed to bring a little luxury and a lot of amore to the table.
Seco Lounge offers its signature relaxed atmosphere with a Valentine's special drink - the Strawberry Kiss; a sweet, dreamy cocktail made with Tequila Rose, available all weekend.
Le Vignoble continues to create memorable moments with candlelit wine tastings and French tapas, alongside champagne and fine wines perfect for gifting.
