ARGYLE HEAD COACH ADMITTED TO THREE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION MISCONDUCT CHARGES

WAYNE Rooney will serve a onematch touchline ban when Plymouth Argyle play away to Cardiff City in the Championship today.

The Pilgrims' boss has also been fined £5,500 by an Independent Regulatory Commission after he admitted to three Football Association charges following the game against Blackburn Rovers at Home Park on October 5. While Rooney will likely watch from the directors' box at Cardiff he will be able to communicate with assistant head coach Pete Shuttleworth in the visitors' technical area.

Rooney reacted angrily to a late Blackburn equaliser against Argyle because he thought there had been a clear foul on Ryan Hardie before the goal was scored. Fourth official Jacob Miles called across referee James Linington, who showed him the red card.
