RALLS CAN SEE PLENTY OF SIGNS OF PROGRESS AT HOME PARK

- By CHRIS ERRINGTON

JOE Ralls believes a number of factors have been coming together as Plymouth Argyle have had a better run of recent League One results after struggling for much of the season.

The former Cardiff City captain has played his part, bringing much-needed experience and leadership qualities to the Pilgrims after joining them as a free agent in early November.

Ralls has pointed to how the belief and confidence of the players has started to recover after a very difficult start to the campaign, and the connection between the team and the Green Army, who have continued to follow them home and away in large numbers. The 32-year-old also pointed to how partnerships on the pitch were improving all the time after the major overhaul of the Argyle squad over the summer, using his relationships with fellow central midfielders Malachi Boateng and Brendan Wiredu as an example of that.

The Pilgrims have picked up 17 points from their last 10 League One games but still have a lot of hard work ahead over the second half of the season to improve on their current league position of 16th.

Ralls, though, is encouraged by what he has seen from the team lately, most recently in the 3-0 win against Burton Albion at Home Park on Sunday.
