Summer Sessions shine despite downpours

HEAVY rain failed to dampen the spirits of the hundreds of fans who turned out over the weekend for the Summer Sessions on Plymouth Hoe.

After raving in the relentless rain to the likes of Wargasm, Hot Milk and Pendulum on Friday, the start of Saturday's session felt remarkably chilled. And dry.

Dea Matrona's position as opening act for The Corrs was in keeping with what seems to be the ethos behind The Summer Sessions this year. Every single night, long established artists like The Corrs, James and Pendulum have given rising stars like Tom A. Smith, Wargasm and Dea Matrona the opportunity to widen their fan base.
