Skeemer back in the Devon side for Cornwall clash

CORNWOOD all-rounder Matt Skeemer is back in the Devon side for the National Counties Cluberly Championship game against Cornwall, starting on his home ground tomorrow (11am), writes Conrad Sutcliffe.

Skeemer missed the Championship opener against Berkshire at Wargrave nearly three weeks ago due to work commitments.

Tim Western, Devon CCC's performance director, said Skeemer has a lot to offer the side, not just on his home ground.

"Matt's local knowledge will help give us some control," said Western. He can bowl with the new ball, or at any time throughout the innings. Matt also offers useful middle-order runs."

Matt Jeacock, who played in the drawn game against Berkshire is recovering from an injury so sits out this game.
