A MAN from south-east Cornwall won £1 million when he found he had time after ordering a burger and popped to a nearby shop - and then taped the winning ticket to his body to keep it safe.

- By NEIL SHAW

Craig Haggie nipped into the shop after ordering his lunch and became The National Lottery's newest millionaire. The 36-year-old from Liskeard won £1,000,000 on a National Lottery Scratchcard after he ordered a burger and had time to kill.

Popping to his local store, he picked up a drink for his brother and two scratchcards. The father of four said: "I went out for lunch and came back a millionaire." After scooping the money, his attention quickly turned to how best to keep the winning ticket safe until he could claim his prize.

Craig, who went back to his family's work office, said: "It was absolute pandemonium, my family were jumping around the office screaming while my first thought was where's the safest place to keep the scratchcard.
