School's journey from palace to pathways

Staff at All Saints Academy Plymouth covered extraordinary ground in a single day last month— starting in the royal gardens of Buckingham Palace and ending on the rugged trails of Cornwall, all in support of their students' development through the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.

Headteacher Scott Simpson-Horne and Duke of Edinburgh manager Maya Zographides represented the school at a celebration hosted by the Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace.
The prestigious event recognised the achievements of 8,000 young people who had completed their Gold Awards. Set in the palace gardens, the occasion featured inspirational speakers, bunting and lawn games, creating a festival-style atmosphere.
