THE 22-YEAR-OLD HAS SCORED SIX GOALS FOR ARGYLE SINCE HE JOINED FROM SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP SIDE ST MIRREN

- By CHRIS ERRINGTON

STRIKER Owen Oseni is pleased to already have six goals for Plymouth Argyle in his first season at the club and believes he can get plenty more too.

The 22-year-old added to his tally for the first time since late September when he scored the winning goal in the Pilgrims’ 1-0 League One defeat of Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park on Tuesday night.

It was an excellent opportunist goal as he nicked the ball away from Wycombe goalkeeper Will Norris before slotting home from a tight angle.

Leading the attack again as 10-goal top scorer Lorent Tolaj served the second of a three-match suspension, it was just what Argyle needed from Oseni, who joined from Scottish Premiership side St Mirren for an undisclosed fee in the summer.

He was the first player, apart from Tolaj, to get a goal for the Pilgrims since their 4-0 away league win against Burton Albion on September 27

Oseni told Herald Sport: “The gaffer (Tom Cleverley) said a couple of weeks ago to the lads that once you get one goal you will get two, three, four.

“I’m confident more chances are going to drop for me and I’m going to be ready to take them in the upcoming games.
