Nicholls joins the Gladiators

PLYMOUTH Gladiators have suggested their season is far from over with more dramatic changes to their septet - including the acquisition of seven-time Great Britain champion Scott Nicholls.

Nicholls joins the Gladiators

The Gladiators have failed to hit the heights that their team - on paper at least - has promised this summer and that led to a change at reserve recently where they unfortunate Ben Trigger was sacrificed for Czech sensation Daniel Klima.

However, he suffered a broken leg whilst riding in Germany after just two outings for the Gladiators. But despite one win in six league games so far this season, the club’s ambition remains to make the end of season playoffs.

To do that, promoter Mark Phillips has ditched Australian Mitchell Cluff and replaced him and Klima, out for the rest of the season, with Nicholls and Arran Butcher, who will ride as reserve.

In a complete rejig of the team, Nicholls goes straight into the seven at number one. Lasse Fredriksen is at two with Joe Thompson three. Nicolai Klindt replaces Ben Barker at five - he moves up to four - with Alfie Bowtell partnering Butcher at reserve.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Although I am well aware that social media is largely an echo chamber that will feed back to you what you search for, there are no shortage of videos and articles about fashionable dressing for men, while vintage clothing is no longer merely bagged up and donated to charity shops but can yield high prices on re-sale sites such as eBay and Vinted.
