McCabe heads straight to Plymouth to get loan underway

LAW McCabe will train with his new Plymouth Argyle teammates for the first time today but he has already had a chance to start getting to know the players and watch them in action.

The 19-year-old Middlesbrough midfielder was on international duty with England under-20s when his loan to Argyle until the end of the season was finalised last Monday, just hours before the summer transfer window closed. McCabe went on to play the whole game for the under-20s when they lost 2-1 to Italy at the SMH Group Stadium in Chesterfield on Friday night.

Then, instead, of making the relatively short trip back home to Middlesbrough after the match, McCabe made the much longer journey so he could attend Argyle's League One game against Stockport County on Saturday.
