MAN arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over attack

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was left in a critical condition following an assault in Plymouth over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The incident was reported at around 9.05pm on Saturday (August 23) on Pembroke Lane in Plymouth.

The ambulance service was called to reports that a man in his 30s had suffered several puncture wounds in the attack.

The victim was taken to Derriford Hospital in a critical condition, with injuries that have since been confirmed to be neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
