Gregory extends Somerset stay
The Herald
|September 23, 2025
LEWIS Gregory says he wouldn't want to play cricket anywhere else after pledging his future to Somerset for the next two years.
The 33-year-old, from Plympton, skippered the Cidermen to glory in this season's T20 Vitality Blast, smashing the winning runs in their victory over Hampshire at Edgbaston. He also captained Somerset to T20 glory in 2023 and is their leading wicket taker in T20 cricket.
Regarding his extension, Gregory said: "There's something genuinely special about Somerset and I wouldn't want to be playing my cricket anywhere else. I still get a buzz when I drive through the gates every day, and I just can't describe what it means to me to be able to lead this team.
