Forget Heathrow's third runway... reopen ours!

SO the Government wants to kickstart growth by building a third runway at Heathrow (H3).

So yet again our taxes are used to make people in the South East's transport links easier, while here in the South West - particularly in Plymouth - we are ignored.

We don't have an airport thanks to historical council mismanagement in the loss of landing slots at Heathrow.

We have a railway line still under threat from climate change, and we might as well not exist as far as central government is concerned.

Meanwhile, we have a Government energy policy that is tilted towards the energy companies and heading towards spending billions on nuclear power. Not just building the things, but the £50 billion that will need to be set aside to deal with the waste produced.

Meanwhile, tidal turbine power, which could be up and running in a fraction of the time and will save us ALL money in the long run, is fed peanuts and is at risk of being run by foreign investors taking our wealth offshore (again).

I personally don't think Ed Miliband has the knowledge or wherewithall to run the Government's energy department.
