A DEVON fire station has revealed it received more than 100 calls in one night to flood-related emergencies.

Last Thursday night (August 28), the Mount Batten area of Plymouth recorded a whopping 56mm of rain over an 11-hour period, from 10pm on Thursday to 9am on Friday, August 29. That's more than half of the monthly average August rainfall for the entire county of Devon (94.2mm).
