Disruptions likely as ice and snow hits region

YELLOW weather warnings for snow and ice extending into today have been issued for a huge part of the South West including all of Devon and Cornwall.

The Met Office warned of potential disruption to travel today - when many pupils return to school and people return to work - with snow showers expected on higher ground and icy stretches on roads.

A Met Office yellow warning extending from Land’s End all the way into Somerset and close to Bristol, Bath and Wells was issued yesterday.
