Celebrating the spirit of our wonderful city

IF you've ever watched the sun rise over Plymouth Sound or wandered through the Barbican on a crisp morning, you'll know there's something truly magical about this city.

It’s not just the beauty of our surroundings - though we're lucky to be nestled between the wilds of Dartmoor and the open ocean - it’s the spirit of the people who live here. It's the warmth, the grit, the creativity, and the quiet determination to make something better, together.

For the past 18 months I am proud to say that I’ve been involved in an overwhelmingly positive experience, working together with key city partners, organisations and local communities to support and shape a story and narrative for our future.

A narrative that we believe will amplify all the great things about our city, helping us all attract talent and investment like never before.

Led by Destination Plymouth and Prof Paul Fieldsend Danks as Chair of the City Brand Development Group, this exciting project offers a fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to breathe new life into our economic fortunes and realise our full potential.
