Ashes put first week defeat behind them with St Ives win

SALTASH moved on from their first-day defeat by Newton Abbot with a 36-25 home win over St Ives in Western Counties West.
The Ashes were strengthened by the return of several key players who missed the last-gasp defeat by the All Whites.
Two players at opposite ends of their careers were on the latest team sheet. Ryan Cruickshanks appeared for the 300th time at fullback while Laurie Thomson was playing in his first game for the senior side.
