Argyle team news for Lincoln City clash
The Herald
|February 07, 2026
TRANSFER deadline day signings Wes Harding and Herbie Kane are in contention to make their debuts for Plymouth Argyle in their League One game against second-placed Lincoln City at Home Park today.
-
With Brendan Galloway added to an already lengthy Pilgrims’ list due to an abdominal issue which led to him being substituted in the second half of the 2-1 defeat away to Stockport County last Saturday, Harding and Kane are sure to be in the matchday squad.
It is just a question of whether one, or both of them, will start against Lincoln, who have had an excellent season under their boss Michael Skubala, and are genuine contender for promotion to the Championship, just two points behind leaders Cardiff City.
The loan deals for Millwall's aggressive right-sided defender Harding and technically-gifted Huddersfield Town midfielder Kane tick a lot of boxes when it comes to what head coach Tom Cleverley was looking for in terms of strengthening his squad.
Kane will compete for a place in central midfield with Malachi Boateng and Brendan Wiredu, with former Cardiff City captain Joe Ralls currently ruled out by a hamstring injury.
