POLICE INVESTIGATE AFTER WOMAN REPORTS CONCERN

- By ABIGAIL NEEP

POLICE are investigating after an alarmed woman reported a suspicious incident at a Plymouth play zone.

The incident happened on Monday February 16 at Wild Things Play Project at Drake Circus, with a woman claiming a child was led out by five individuals after being photographed by another person.

The woman posted on Facebook: “I caught someone taking photos of my niece and sending them to someone as I was stood behind her and made soft play staff aware and they had a word.”

She said that some time later her four-year-old niece was led out by a family of five, while another four people were waiting around the corner.

She said: “I only noticed as my niece was stood in the corner, on the opposite side of the gate, with these people, looking scared.

“I asked her what she was doing and she told me the girl asked them to go with her. Staff were fantastic as we are regulars here. Security were called and brought the situation under control. However the mall was incredibly busy with loads of teenage lads causing absolute mayhem.”
